BIOGRAPHY
I grew up outside of Louisville Ky, in Oldham County. I received my undergraduate degree in biology from Bellarmine University in Louisville, and then attended graduate school at the University of Louisville. My research in graduate school focused on the study of RNA viruses and the characterization of antiviral compounds. After graduation I spent 4 years in a postdoctoral fellowship in Albuquerque New Mexico, where I had a broad research focus in particular on the microbiome of wild rodents.
